Finding Connections through Intergenerational Relationships and Knowledge Exchange

Large Tree

WHO WE ARE

Our Roots

The Wisdom Exchange Project was founded in 2020 to address social isolation and loneliness by creating a community committed to promoting health and wellbeing across the adult lifespan through mutually-beneficial intergenerational relationships.

What We Do

We host monthly events online to promote community building and knowledge exchange. We bring in experts (like scientists, healthcare providers, & community leaders) to talk to our group of older adults and graduate trainees across Canada about their work. Ultimately, we strive to promote lifelong learning.

High Fives

Our Community

Since 2020, WEP has hosted over 20 knowledge exchange events and helped cultivate new friendships between among our older adult and student community!

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
